23 Mar New guidelines for hand luggage for flights to USA and UK
Are you going to travel to USA or UK in the next dates from a north African or Middle East airport? You need to check this info.
Recently the USA and UK governments have updated the security policies regarding the hand luggage allowances. This new regulation includes restrictions on some electronic equipment during the flights with origin in some Middle East and North African countries.
What is this new regulation about?
From the 24th of March of 2017, the laptops, portable dvds, game consoles, cameras and mobile devices (phones or tablets) bigger than 16 centimetres long won’t be allowed to be part of the cabin luggage and must, obligatory, be checked in at the airport.
This new regulation is applied to:
– Flights to UK destinations arriving from /or connections from Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan, Tunisia and Turkey.
– Flights to USA destinations arriving from /or connections from Saudi Arabia, Egypt, United Arab Emirates, Lebanon, Jordan, Morocco, Qatar, Tunisia and Turkey.
Anyway, we recommend you to check the terms and conditions and the restrictions of the luggage allowances accepted by the airline that will operate your flight, with independence on your origin and destination flights, as they are constantly changing.
